Thank you for your interest in the NC Black Bear Festival refuge tours. This tour will take you on a journey of the refuge with the greatest potential for seeing the black bears that call Pocosin Lakes their home, with unique opportunities to see an array of wildlife and the beauty of nature, at various locations.

Please allow approximately 3 – 3 ½ hours for travel and tour time, with the tour being approximately 2 - 2½ hours, approximately 30 minute travel time for each direction. Tour will be on first come, first serve basis or for reservation please contact: Doris Morris @ doris.friendsrefuge@gmail.com

You are welcome to bring your camera, binoculars, and remember to dress for the weather, with comfortable shoes for short walks; or if walking will be difficult, you are welcome to stay on the tour bus and sit back and enjoy the view.
